Everybody Chris Larson from crossbow expert calm I’m at the arrow show. Now this is the show before the show the ATA starts tomorrow but. We got a special sneak peek at. Some new products. And this is ex calibers new crank it’s the charger ext. And the c2 will still be around but for the folks who really want the best of the best. When it comes to cranking their crossbow. This one’s gonna be the. One now the charger ext is a totally silent crank it’s also super compact I’m going to show. You how it works now. What you’re gonna do to mount. This thing goes on your Excalibur crossbow you’ll see. These two holes in the stock. And there’s a bracket. That goes on their if your Excalibur doesn’t have those two holes in. It don’t worry there’re directions on how to retrofit your particular crossbow but. This one here we’ve already got. That bracket mounted on the stock. And this just slides on very simply very easily it’s gonna lock into place it’s good set. And what we’re gonna do is push the release we’re gonna slide. These hooks down our rope goes right back here same spot our rope Cocker would go in my belly got. That caught up there. And all we’re gonna do a slider handle in. Now here we’re gonna push the cock. And we’re gonna just crank. This crossbow up very simply takes about 12 pounds of effort to cock. It we’re cocked do with just a half a turn. And we’re let the pressure off take our handle off come up hook.
It back up and we’re cocked. And ready to go now. You can hunt with this on no problem but. If you want to take. This off during your hunt that’s not a problem. Either let’s pull that off we’re off we’re ready to go hunting so at the end of the hunt. One of the great things about annex caliber crossbow is. That you can decock your crossbow. You can D cock it with. This crank as well now. If you like to d cock with your rope Cocker. You can do that but. If you want to do with the crank you’re gonna just slide. It back on we’re gonna put our hooks on we’re gonna put our handle in their take a little pressure up we’re in fire we’re gonna just pull the trigger.
And now we’re gonna do. That’s the anti dry fire. That I just pressed down take our handle off slide. These up and just like. That we’re de cocked we’re ready for our next. One so this is the charger ext crank from Excalibur it’s a totally silent crank 12 pounds of pressure to cock your crossbow so. If you’re struggling to cock your crossbow it’s gonna be a great solution for you. It is — $2999 but it’s a totally silent crank that’s a very good price for these silent cranks they’re coming out in the market right. Now check it out at crossbow expert com.
This video was brought to. You by Yamaha proven off-road ATVs. And side-by-sides evils I’m Matt Bateman I’m the National Sales Manager here with grim reaper broad heads with two thousand nineteen eighty a show been working hard. This year several new broad heads to go along with our already extensive line. And fix mechanical Ivor type rottenness, so I’m going to show a couple of those new ones. And give them a look so. One new thing we did. This year moving down to the broad heads here is. We have a whole new line of micro hybrids in our Pro Series line. They got our pro tip stand. It out in front of the blades like. All Grim Reaper’s so. You can shoot on any angle. And not get deflection the sharpest tip on the market. You can drop it in the wood. And it’s going to stick. We went to our small inch of 16th fixed-blade we’re getting tremendous accuracy out of. That out of any speed. Several mechanical cut version of the micro hybrid. This is the inch and three-eighths cut mechanical rated for compound. All compound bows I also do. That in an inch and a quarter cut. Both of a 100-125 grain. Ialso have a crossbow version of the micro high bid. One an inch and a half cut diameter. Ialso have a two-inch cut in 125. That are rated specifically for crossbows which shot them up to 470 feet per second super accurate.
And Stan shot so that’s the new micro hybrid line not shown here are a couple different mechanical cut options but. All support that inch. And 16th fixed blade. And our pro tip one of my personal favorites. This year this is the mini mag we’re calling it’s a four blade mechanical with our inch. And a quarter cut it was really beefed up. This pro tip here so you’ve got. This drilled beefed up tip. And ferrule for just extreme durability. And impact on bone and then. We have for mechanical blades an inch. And a quarter cut so a little scaled down from Arcane four little beefier shorter stouter ferrule get. That compact design for accuracy for durability. And then that shorter blade it’s just super tough that’s an inch.
And a quarter cut for blade so two. And a half inches a total blade service. All packed into this small compact tough design so that’s the new mini mag available 100. And 125 great for crossbows specific. We also have this is new in our proline is a 2-inch cut 2 blades the reason we’ve gone to a 2 blade design on. This model with our original whitetail special 2 inch cut. We can’t keep three blades clothes out of the really fast crossbows so with two blades on our spring system. We can keep it shut out of. Any speed so we’ve also tested. That in the upper four hundreds to inch cut to blade available 100 125. And 150 grain that’s a crossbow rated broad head for any crossbow on the market can be shot out of a standard compound as well, but we’re calling it the 2 inch 2 blade crossbow model so that’s that’s new for this year last.
One I’m going to show. You here is a four blade inch. And three-eighths Pro is slightly bigger. What I showed you in the mini mag attention 3/8 for blade design got. This wetback blade angle which is different. Than the carnivore that has the. More bumped out blade angle got for swept-back inch. And 3/8 blades beefed up ferrule. And tip for durability. And again not Pro Series models stick in the wood last. Ilied there’s this is the whitetail Extreme it’s the largest total blade surface hunter grain brought out on the market it’s a 2-inch cut by inch. And a half cut mechanical three. And a half inches of blade surface it’s really designed for real high-energy compounds on whitetail sized deer. And turkey food comes in hunter. And 125 grain that’s for you guys have to have. That giant cut for turkeys. You have enough energy to shoot. It on whitetail you can but that’s the whitetail extreme so again thanks for checking out our stuff here at the ATA show.
You want more information about our products we’ll have. These up on our website at wwlpcom.
Hi there I’m Dustin moriki. This segment we’re going to talk about. One of my favorite broad heads in the whole wide world. That is grim reaper broad heads. And grim reaper makes fixed-blade. And expandable broad heads. Or mechanical broad heads. And the thing that their best known for is probably their mechanical broad heads. Because there are several commercials out there. And a bunch of different TV shows. That use them the reason why I use grim reapers. And I’m so sold out on grim reapers versus. Any other broad head is. They work time after time to date. Ihave 15 archery kills under my belt with grim reaper. All of them I’ve either watched drop. Or I’ve been able to find the blood trail. And find the animal. Even marginal shots sometimes. Even angled shots I mean awesome performance every single time with the mechanical head. And Prowler bill has always been a. You know fixed blade guy because of the issues. That he’s having with canticles in the past. Ipersonally used to shoot mechanicals. And swore off of them for quiet.
Some years I bought. That was a really cheap made broad head. That used a rings which grim reapers do not use o-rings. Ihit the deer back in the liver actually right behind the lungs. It went straight through just like shooting it with a field point the expandables never expanded the mechanicals never opened. It was a three blade head. Ithrew him away and was never going to use a broad head again until my friend brought. Me to grim reapers and said. You know what you hunted a suburban area which. Ido I’ve got a wide variety of land. Ihunt but one of the areas. Ihad the most success in is a little Greenbelt area on a creek bed. That runs next to a neighborhood. Now it’s not right in the middle of the neighborhood obviously but it’s a place. You can really only use archery. Because there’s so much Scerbo suburban life around. And there are a lot of folks. And a lot of big bucks there. And a lot of folks hunt. That was now too but I’ve got to drop.
That deer soon I do not want. That deer wandering off somewhere. You know to die wherever. And I’ve started using Grim Reaper’s. This year was so funny. Ishot five deer total. Iwatched all five then drop. Even made a game of. It of counting how long till. They fell over after. Ishot him and ten seconds was the average I’d shoot him I’d watch him run off I’d actually be able to watch with the line of sight of where. They ran depending on which way. They were pointed and watch them fall over. It was absolutely incredible. Iwould not be such a huge fan of Grim Reaper’s. If they didn’t work time after time recently. Iwas just on a hog hunt use Grim Reaper’s care with the lumenok. And my compound bow fantastic performance on those two a lot of folks think oh man hogs you’ve got to use fixed blade not so much grim reapers as long as you’ve got the kinetic energy right.
You make sure you shoot your power of your boa crossbow comparatively to the amount of cut diameter. You buy on the Grim Reaper’s. And I’ll go over that in a minute you’ll be in good shape so let’s talk about. That real quick I brought. You a crossbow bolt. This is a Grim Reaper 125 grand crossbow bolt. That I’ve got set up here. This is the razor cut which has a little cut on contact blade at the very tip of. And then all three blades it’s a three blade. And that’s all the grim reaper makes for mechanicals as three blades. That’s because better. Than a two blade when you’re dealing with the two blades sometimes. That animal can recover. And heal and it’s not going to be a lethal shot no matter. It in a vital organ.
Or close to a vital organ with a three inch. This is a two-inch cut diameter on 125 grain I’ve got the expander cups in. One you’re not going to lose an animal. Most likely it in the right vital spots. And I’m saying that from personal experience so. That is my crossbow bolt set up 125 grain shooting. That out of my Barnett c5 Wildcat crossbow at approximately 300 feet per second so it’s pretty fast. And my compound bow setup. Iissued a Martin scepter — compound crossbow. This is a standard full-length arrow. Icut my nose down a little bit but. This is about the right size. Ishoot a 30-inch draw length which is about. One of the longest draw lengths in archery, so I’ve got a very big wingspan I’m about six foot five. This is the hundred grain whitetail special. This is the biggest version of Grim Reaper’s.
That are made to inch cut radius as well just in 100 grain sometimes I’ll go to 125 grain depending on what grain of arrow I’m shooting or. What stiffness of spine I’m shooting inside the arrow in. That regard but that is my other choice for. Ishoot the two-inch. Ilike to shoot high power. Ishoot a 62-inch pound draw weight. Ishoot a 30-inch draw, so I’ve got enough kinetic energy going into. That animal to get a pass through shot. Or close to a pass through shot. If you’re going to be shooting lighter bows in. Something in the 40 to 50 pound range. Something in the smaller draw length. You don’t have a draw length as long as my maybe 27 inches. And you’re shooting in the 40.
Or 50 pound draw weight you’re going to probably want to stick with the inch. And three-eighths inch which is the beginning level of the Grim Reaper’s a smallest cut diameter to get the best penetration to go through your animal. Whenever you’re hunting penetration. And pass through is so important especially. It comes to compound arrows. You want to make sure. You get a good entrance shot. And exit hole so you’ve got maximum hemorrhaging when. It comes to recovering. That game later you at these do the trick every time the other do. Ilove about Grim Reaper’s. You can take and strip off the broad hits after you’ve hunted with them it’s very easy process. You do is just unscrew them take the expander cup off of. Or the bottom standard cup off of them there’s a little spring underneath there. And then there’re the blades. That are held on by two rings there’s no o-rings there’s no rubber bands it’s a beautiful concept.
And it’s a very simplistic concept as well. They use which makes. These so durable and the nice thing too is the ferrule. You bend the ferrule part. Ibelieve that’s the right way to say at the feel part of the main body of the broad head. You can reuse the same broad head over. And over again just by getting a rebuild kit for about 20 dollars. These run about a pack of these is going to cost right around about 35 to 45 dollars. You don’t get more in your archery shops ask for them. Or go to grim reaper broad heads comm they’re going to be in about the high 30s to low 40s but you’ll get a practice tip. And you’ll get three grim reaper broad heads in a pack of. Whatever pack that you’re buying and you’ll be in good shape there as well the practice tip is there just. Because a lot of other broad heads. Ibelieve put practice tips. And theirs they’re going to fly like a field point trust. Me do they’ve been machined.
And they’re very durable so. You use a practice tip. You want to I just cited using my field points. Ihave fantastic results with. These but I’ve rebuilt. Few of these and I’ve actually got my rebuilding time to down under two minutes to getting one stripped off. And cleaned up and completely rebuilt again. And there’s a rebuilding kit. They sell for like I said about twenty dollars. You can sit there and use the same main body over. And over again every time. Ishoot an animal I want to rebuild the blades the. Most important part. When you’re dealing with pass through. Iwant to make sure. Everything functions perfectly every time. And then all three blades after I’ve rebuilt. It is going to open just like. And snap right back into place just like.
All three of them so. You have your choices between the razor tip. And the razor cut I personally prefer the razor tip. It has a trocar tip to. It that’s very strong. And very will punch through just about. Anything in Texas here. We have hog hunting and you’ve got big thick shields. Something that’s going to penetrate through. That razor cut works well too I’ve used. That on white tails. And hogs both only problem is sometimes. Whenever you hit a rock. Anything else the trocar tips going to take a little bit better the chisel tip rather is going to take a little bit better abuse. Than the event one of these tips before. And then you’ve got to replace the whole broad head in. That regard but it’s no big deal. These are a lot of fun so you’ve got. Several options. If you’re into the fixed blade broad heads which a lot of folks are. They make the Haiti series grim reaper Haiti’s are fantastic.
They fly pretty true compared to a lot of other fixed blade broad heads. Some in particular fly awful compared to. All the different other field tip. If you’re shooting a mechanical broad head set up so a Haiti’s is a good recommendation. You do not want to shoot a mechanical for some reason. You have to stay with a fixed blade the Haiti’s is there for those kind of folks. And Bill was a big guy that’s prowler with a big fanatic of staying with a fixed blade until. Iturn him on to mechanicals. He shot a coyote Bobcat a couple of other smaller game with. And has a dunny deer. Or hog hunting to this date with. He has been so impressed at the man so amount of damage. These broad heads do. They get in the hemorrhaging. And the exit holes and cut radius. Everything like that he’s a huge fan of e, so I’ve kind of sold him out on Grim Reaper mechanicals versus sticking with the fixed blade.
Now so you’re going to do fine with. Any a grim reapers products. You can view their website at grim reaper broad heads com. You can also view them through our website so that’s Grim Reaper broad heads com is their website. You will view them on our website as well Mac. And Prowler comm thank. You so much for watching our segment today you.
Today we’re going to be talking I did not product from Easton called race. Or not okay so here’s. We install the knot very simply. You just slide it in the rear of the shaft. And press it in actually. It presses in real hard. You will need to press. This against the table. Something hard to seat. All away but there you don’t need. Any glue anything and. You want to support them to different arrows. You can’t pull them out with a pair of pliers the nice thing about. This nocks is you have the ability to turn. This knocked off and on so. You can shoot this arrow. All summer long and never have the light come on. And then come hunting season. When you’re understanding you activate. This nocks just by waving it over a magnet. It turns and it’s ready to go than by shooting it over. That magnet it activates the knot so. It turns on after the shot but again real easy to install no glue needed. You just press it in the back of shaft. And we’re gonna go downstairs in the basement. Where it’s a little bit darker.
And shoot this thing for you. And show it works this knocking system does have an off-and-on switch. You do need to install. This little magnet which. They give you two little velcro pieces to install. You do need to mount. It somewhere on your bow riser fairly close to. Where the arrow is going to pass by, so I’m going to mount mine right here on the side of the riser. They give this little velcros piece. That way you could take the magnet off. You chose to do so and there it’s mounted on the side it’s out of the way of the arrow. And we’re ready to go here okay here’s. We activate the trace. You turn the off and on switch the first thing we’re going to do is bring the arrow to the magnet. It will blink one time hold. It there for five seconds. It will blink twice. And then immediately pull. It off the magnet you’ll get four blinks. And then the on switch has been activated okay. Now the arrows activated the next time.
This arrow passes by the magnet it’ll remain lit like so after its remain lit for about 10 to 15 seconds the nock starts to blink. Now to deactivate this knot. You have to do is slide. It by arrow it’ll shut off. It still set in the go mode here so. You shop this arrow again the nock would turn right back on but. You want to turn it off altogether so. You could practice with. And not use battery life bring the arrow back to the nock. It lights up a few seconds later it’ll blink remove. Now the arrows ready to go won’t turn on. It will flash to let. You know that battery’s still good but. It won’t stay continuously lit so let’s put. This on the crossbow shoot. And show it looks in flight, so we’ve got our arrow. All loaded, and we’ve got our target downrange there.
We are in a dark basement but that’ll just help show the nock. And flight so we’re going to shoot. That target down there I’ll show. This thing works as. You can see the knock is. Now in blink mode and it’ll stay like. That for about 90 hours so it’ll give. You plenty of time to help. You find your arrow. If the arrow stays in the deer hopefully it’ll give. You time to find your deer so that’s. It that’s the tracer not from Easton. And guys if you’re not hunting with a lighted nock. Idon’t care if the tracer knock the lumenok the fire nock you’re missing out. Because not only are. They a valuable tool to help. You find your arrow. Or find your animal they’re just flat-out cool. And they’re fun to shoot so give them a try.
Hey there everybody I’m Robert airings. And host of respect outdoors on the sportsman channel. And I’m here with the key to keeping your crossbows safe. Whether you’re traveling or in. Some kind of crazy situation. This is my Horton it’s the vision 175 reverse limbs. This thing almost primarily for alligator hunting we’re in the boat running here. And there I’ve got clients on the boat. That aren’t familiar so. Ilike to keep my crossbows safe. Nothing like getting on a big old trophy Gator. And having your crossbow knocked off. Ilooked high and low for the best possible case. It right here this is the Plano Manor a crossbow case it’s big plenty of room. It fits virtually every single crossbow on the market let. How easy it is to set up. And just how versatile. It is so we’re gonna set. This to fit this particular crossbow as. You can see it’s got a nice area here make sure. This is going close good for example. This was farther forward look here it’s not gonna fit further like. That it’s not gonna fit it’s right here it’s gonna fit perfectly.
Now let’s put all together, so we’re gonna start off-putting in a little weather strip it’s already pre-cut. And you’re just gonna slide. It rights down in the groove perfect so. What happens is you’ve got a nice firm fit. And it’s protected from the weather to keep moisture out. All right so when you’re putting this together simply. You need flat-head screwdriver in a socket. You can use the 8 millimeter. Idon’t have a 3/8 I don’t have a normal flat head but. Ido have a chain saw tool which shows. How easy this thing is to put together drop your nut. Or drop your screw right in. That hole just like. All right so now we’ve got.
This secured it pieces of cake next up. These two pieces they’re gonna slide down in place just like. Now they’re in place you’re going to take the other two bolts. That are just like this same to push them in there. Now they’re in place okay. What that’s gonna do is. You have your crossbow. You wanna you want to check. You go okay so it shuts. And here is going to be our strap. That holds our crossbow in place so. Everything is good all right so. Now look these are. All firm and secure. This is firm and secure. You don’t need these anymore. All right so they have straps in here as. You can see just like. This there are two pieces I’ve already got them apart. We just bolted your little strap holders in. And then use this just gonna come off just gonna make a little loop that’s nice and secure over here on the other side. You want to make sure. That it’s opposite so your velcro sticks so run. It up just like it runs up send.
It through the little hole. Now you’ve got yourself a little slip knot. That is what’s gonna hold the back of your crossbow but in place I’m kind of getting the horse in front of the cart but just to get. This thing out of the way I’ll go ahead. And snap that on there. This one here this is the shoulder strap. You can carry it with but. Ijust want it out of the way. Now we’re gonna set our foam up so. It fits properly take your two largest pieces. And set right there they’re gonna fit down nice and firm. This is pick and pluck its pick. And pluck so you can pull. It apart to make it fit perfectly for your crossbow. That was that took. One second you have. More foam more pieces you’ve got. This little back piece. It fits right here perfectly there. That little piece fits there. This little piece fits right like. Ibelieve this piece fits right there okay for my crossbow.
This fit perfectly just like. What I’ve got is a perfect fit. This is gonna fit just like. These are my straps. Ijust installed you can pull them down nice and tight that’s gonna fit nice and secure so. We have two more of these perfect little adjustable slots right here. You can adjust this to make. It shorter or longer just like. That nice and secure we’re gonna do the same thing on the other side but again. You want to make sure. That your velcro is on the proper side, so we’ll just send. It rights through their right through their perfect so. You cinch this piece down. Now your crossbow is firmly in place got. These unique little giddy ups here. This right there that will screw in just like. You can set these straps up in. Whatever configuration you’d like. They screw in place so. You can strap whatever accessory. You want right into. This little area quickly.
And easily now last but not least. We have our arrow case everything’s already set up. You do is set them on top there I’ll set. It on top there just set. These right on their just like. That there’s eight of them. This is a little tool. That comes with your case. That does is just pop them into place just like. All right so now I’ve got my vision 175. All set up I’ve got a lot. More bolts this but. These are bolts I’ve been using for gator-hunting set those there. This is my AMS boat fishing reel. And I’m able to just feed. That right through their keep. It nice and tight you know. This right there we’re in good shape. And check this out folks locks box part. Everybody you understood. This is the Plano manta crossbow case fits almost every single cross boat on the market conventional.
And reverse limb it’s affordable super easy to put together. And it’s made in America by a company. You can trust you might want to get the Plano she’ll case. And the plaintiff guide case. Both of them are nice and waterproof keep. All your gear safe organized. And ready for you to use.
