That is built for that lady specifically smaller hand size pork design is built for them it's also got a lot of jewelry on.
It quite frankly it's very appealing we have real abalone insert not an invitation it's got. Some nice knurling around the reel seat the color is a lavenders color the logos the decals. Everything that goes on. It is really built for this application for the lady for a very serious angler quite frankly quite a. Few men will be buying these for their significant others. Even here at the show. That most of the comments we've heard of. That my wife would enjoy. This my girlfriend enjoy. This so for the serious female angler we'd love to have her come. Hi Mac right here with edu o'clock fishing tackle in Denver Colorado home of the world's only american-made Fish Hooks. Iwant to talk to you a little bit today about the trail master rod. This right here is the seven-foot six spin fly versions. You know for almost 52 years the trail master rod has been synonymous with family fun fishing in the mountains streams local ponds good times brook trout on the grill. You know what I'm talking about the trail master has been there founded out the trail master is. One of the rods have been passed down from generation to generation. More than any other rod out there. One of the reasons for. That is the im7 complex composite graphite blank. That we use purpose for this blank. This blank is to make a very durable rod that's going to last. You 30 or 40 years do every day here in our factory. We have people come into our factory store bringing rods. That the grandfather may have passed down to them. Or their father and the 20 30 years old. And they don't want to get rid of them. They love that rod so much. And they want to hold on to. It fixes it they don't want a new. One and that's what the trail master rod is. All about it's that im7 complex graphite blank. That really gives you the power gives. You the Flex but also up here in the tip gives the sensitivity.
You need for multiple species in. Any fishing situation. Some other finer points of the trail master seven six spin fly rods are the fine silt windings. We use around the guides the contoured cork grips as well as the rubberized cork for grip. And fighting but makes. It extremely comfortable in fighting a fish holding the rod for long periods of times of course. It makes it durable to last. All those years we've got beautifully engraved bronze reel seat nice fine gold hardware on there as well truly a fine rod of course. One of the greatest things about. This rod is its versatility its compact travel size its ability to go with. You anywhere I've currently got to set up with the spin rod. If you purchased the spinning fly reel travel set of course. You come the spinning rod as well as a fly reel comes here the little fly reel nice little travel case in here.
You can store under your seat in the trunk your car it's got a. Few little fly boxes in here. You put small lures. Or some pheasant tails. Whatever you need to catch. That trout of course that's the purpose of. This is the ease and versatility like. Isaid I've got it set up as a spinning right here. All it takes to go from a spin to a fly is a. Few short steps what we'll do is we'll take the reel off hope. We not drop you in the river you're going to unscrew the rubberized cork fighting, but we'll unscrew the handle here from. This four grip section easily enough. Now we just switch. It around put it back on their screw. That on we'll screw the fighting butt back on. Now we can put our reel on slide. That up into the groove tighten her up. Now I'm ready to go cast on Adams — a nice little Eddie. And catch myself a 20-inch rainbow again. One of the best things about. This rod is its travel size. And compact size for peace rod breaks down extremely easy.
It comes with the very versatile travel case embroidered with the trail master name the Eagle call logo people will know who. You fish with and they know. You fish with the best. When you have this that's the great thing about. This you can take this with. You wherever you go throw. It under the trunk put. Hey what's up guys I want to do a review on. Some Berkeley broads okay specifically. This review is going to be on the Berkeley cherry wood rods. Ifeel like I have enough experience with them. Ihave three of them right. Now I've got tons of fish on them. Ihave a couple different ones, so I'll quickly show. You them real quick. This is uh what I use as my crank bait rod has a silver max paired up with. It every Garcias over max. You see it's a Berkley cherry wood HD rod I'm not sure. If you're gonna be able to see. These that's the model number. You can see it but don't worry I'll read. It off for you it's a seven foot the medium casting or sorry medium action has a fast tip which really like. That especially with the crank bait rod let's the crank bait do. What it does what it needs to do especially shallow. Or square bills hidden off. Some obstacles great rod overall. It works with this is paired up with. Some vicious twelve pound fluorocarbon which is really good. Ireally I think is a really good combination for Bank mates. Because normally you're not getting into the deep. Or you're not getting into the hefty stuff so again that's. What the 7-foot that keep. That down there right here there's also a 7-foot. One just paired up with Niagara Garcia pro max. You see Berkeley cherry wood rod. This is a medium heavy sea. You can see that again. Ihighly doubt you can need to get an out of light in here. And like I said to medium heavy it's a really stiff rod. Ireally like it for froggen he's from. What I've experienced before. Ihave not actually used.
One with this reel. Ijust got it today I'm gonna be getting out tomorrow morning I work tonight. Iworked tonight's weight. Icouldn't get out sorry about. That but pair it up with. Some faux fur wire I can get. It guys butter fingers easy braids 50 so which. Ithink is gonna be a good combination as well. And then this is the oldest cherry wood. Ihave which is still fairly new dawn my spinning well it's been real good snaps it's a quantum stamp talk UC Berkeley cherry wood HD might be able to see. You there's a my Rapala flat wrap which is been great. This is a medium light 6 6 foot 6 inch does break into two pieces which is kind of nice I've actually had. This rod in my backpack broken down into sticking out of course.
And ride my motorcycle to the lake well in between class classes so. You know this is definitely a cool rod. And it's compact too which is great. One thing I'll let you know. These rods retail about $1999. Iwork at a sports store. Ican get them down cheaper. Because my discount. Iget him down 15 bucks so that's really why I made the first leap of faith for this cherry wood. One only spin a bit Ron. It was cheap it seems good quality. Ilooked up some reviews. Inoticed it wasn't either terribly. You know I think of faith got. Now pulled out four. And a half pound ones with. This rod which I'm sure I'm sure can do.
More but I was really happy. It performed it's very sensitive on the end. Now I'm a I'm a big. Ilike medium heavy rods so getting the medium light. This is my pretty much the lightest rod I've ever had a little bit different. You get used to but. Ido really like you feel the bite. You know fighting the fish is great with. You can feel everything that's going on especially with. This spinning rod you normally are fighting the fish a little bit longer. Than the bait casters. Now with the bait casting one. And it's been long it's a single-piece court handle it's held up really good over had. This rod for about eight months. And I've done the majority of my fishing on. This rod we went up to New York the Finger Lakes Keuka Lake actually. And the only rod I could really catch. Anything home was this guy. Because the occasion line. Everything else had.
Some pretty thick line on there. One bait caster had. Some power Pro yellow Power Pro. It did not work so and I'm pretty sure that's the only pretty sure that's why this rod dominated but. How about great love. It doesn't have any damage on the tip. It out of my coop I have a jeep about getting it out of my coop it's taken a. Few good bangs on the eyelets. You know I'm happy that they've held off but anyways. Ijust want to give a word out to Berkley. How awesome the rods are. And hopefully someone else is. One of them I can give a good review out there for him. They are very sensitive. They need to be they're medium heavy rod is great it's a pretty stiff rod. And then their medium. One is really good that fast action tip so. You know you can really get on. Some good crank bait action get. That parabolic Bend in there.
These aren't glass rods they are a hybrid design rod so. You know they definitely have the stiff backbone but the sensitive tip which is great sensitive feeling which. You know that's what everyone wants so anyways thank. Any questions just let. Me know subscribe please. This is a channel that's for a lot of things fishing deep in cars reviews. Anything like that so thank you.

What's up guys I recently picked up a Berkeley lightning rod. Iam 6 spinning rods a 6 6 medium from a local Walmart. Iwas actually going out of business. They were closing it down. Something like everything was extremely low priced. Iheaded up getting this rod for four dollars. And fifty cents probably. One of the best fishing purchases my short fishing career but just wanted to give. You guys review let. You know what I think. Iknow there's a lot of these for sale retail in stores from $3999 to 4999. Ibelieve there's a also a different series called a lightning rod shack. This is the im6 the full cork handle again the. Ipurchased was spinning rad it's been my current spinning rod. That I've been using for about the past month. Or so just wanted to share my opinion share my thoughts. Iknow there's a lot of budget minded fishermen out there it's hard to justify spending a hundred fifty-two hundred hours on a rod. You look at the price points. And that's you know six months a tackle just seems really hard to justify. That sometimes if you're not. One of those anglers. That has a non limited budget so to say. Somebody that can go out in the forward a two hundred dollar ride I'm not. One of those people. Ican't do that so in my opinion. This is probably one of the best value rods. That I've ever used um really good feel really good durability I've caught quite a. Few fish on it already had. Some snags I didn't think we're going to come out. Ithought was going to break the tip of the pole. That ever happened I've had no issues with the quality of the cork I've had no issues with the eyelets to the rod coming undone getting damaged.
Anything like that there's been a couple people have said. And about this rod. And I've experienced. That so I'm not sure. If it's just misused. Or miss handling by the people using or. Igot lucky and got a good. One but anyways I'm going to share my thoughts in. This video so as always thanks for watching please like. And subscribe you haven't checked. Ido have a current giveaway going on it's a full mister tackle box just chock-full of stuff for you guys to get to use to win check. That video out as well I'll put the link for the video down in the description right down below so. You guys can check that out in the meantime thanks for watching all right guys here.
We go so like this is the Berkeley lightning rod. Iam six full cork handles very good quality very good craftsmanship very good look. What you're seeing right in here. Where the real set is the real is only contacted with the rad right in here. And right up here so. You actually have this point. And I'll show you in a picture later on the video but there is no contact with the real on the router right in here. It gives it a little. More sensitivity a little. More feels those little subtle bites. You get especially from the bigger fish. You definitely feel. That a little bit better. Some people have had quality control issues with the cork up here I've been using this salad for a month straight.
And have to have no issues like. This one's a six medium. One piece rod I don't like to use two pieces. Ineed to if I'm traveling or. Something like that which. Idon't do a lot of first guide on here is a rather large. You can see it is a spinning rod. What you're going to get narrows down the closer. You get to the end of. It pretties standard nothing too spectacular here good look good classic look. Nothing crazy doesn't stand out but also doesn't look bad at. All looks very high-quality. Iwould have to say guys for $50. This is probably one of the best rods. That I've used I've had a chance to use quite a. Few different rods and reels.
You know they're all pretty decent. Everything works everything catches fish. One sensitivity wise. Ihad I'd have to probably give. This a solid 8 out of 10. It is very good you do get a lot of fuel. You do get a lot of light sensitivity of. This out of this rod. That is a fast action tip. Ispecifically use this for more finesse presentations the drop shots shaggy head jig stuff like. It does work like I said I've had no quality control issues no not. Nothing really bad to say about. This um good budget price rod. You know like I said I'm not. One of those people. That is able and willing to go out. And spend $200 on a rod. Ijust don't see the need for right. What I like to be able to yeah absolutely but. Ican't so you know I'm not going to sugarcoat. Anything for you guys. What I would like to say about.
This rod is actually. When this is set up with a reel on. Ilove the placement in the court. All the way down when the reels on here. Ilike to have my fingers right up here. This is really comfortable. It gets a little bit larger read up here. You guys can see this is just it's a comfortable way to hold. This pole when the reel is in place. When you're actually using it gives. It actually a little. More feel to when you're touching the blanket set the korky doesn't dampen. Any vibrations with the court so for those of. You guys out there using a spinning rod for finesse presentations always try to put your hand up a little bit higher. Than you're normally would. It just gives you a little. More feel gives a little. More control over the rod. And a little bit better hooks at abilities so basically. This is a good solid fishing rod for those with a budget mind. That doesn't want to go out. And spend you know hundreds of dollars on a setup.
You really don't need to so. You guys want a good finesse rod something's going to perform something's going to last quite a. Iwould definitely highly recommend the Berkley lightning rod. Iam six thank you guys as always for watching have a good. One catch some fish please like please subscribe please comment. Iwill catch you guys later.
hi guys just a quick introduction about a rod. That I'm using here at the pier. It is a Berkley lightning rod. Ihave purchased this rod about a year ago. And for purposes of fishing on the pier. And for purposes of fishing for smaller trout. And there is a difference of the sizes of trout. That are planted here at the lake the larger license the hybrid license go from 3 pound. And sometimes the Department of Fish. And Wildlife plants smaller half pound to 1 pound fish. And so the akuma rocks. Although it works very well for. Either size of trout. Iprefer the lighter. Iwanted to see how a lighter. More flexible rod would perform. When catching these lighter trout's so. This Berkley lightning rod for several reasons first of. All to talk about the power of. This is a medium light so it's a bit of. It falls in the maybe the category of light tackle. Although it has a very strong blank it's a two-piece rod it's got a very strong blank it's graphite. It also exhibits the same performance as my kuma rocks. Where the tip is really fast. Though the blank is really strong okay the tip is really fast so sensitivity wise. It can definitely feel. That fish when it's fighting you the Department of Fish. And Game trouts are really strong fighters.
And it's quite fun to use. This type of rat rod to catch them but. More importantly this is a shorter rod as well so. When I'm fishing here the pier. Idon't necessarily have to cast very far. Ijust need to you know fling it out there. And usually if there's a lot of fish. They will take that that bait not only. It for bottom fishing I also use. It for lure fishing and for the. Most part like it for bottom fishing or the smaller trout but. It has a very nice cork handle there's two different type of texture of cork here it's got a nice bottom to the handle okay the logo. And then it's rubber bottom but there's two type of cork here not quite sure the grade of. This cork but this is really new the way. They designed the real seat. You can actually feel the rod itself the rod is still extended. All the way down I believe in the handle but the real seat is almost disappearing if. You notice there's no knob.
Or knurled knob that'll hurt your finger especially. If you're doing any type of lure fishing but. You can see this is the part of the rod. That actually locks in your reel okay so as your hand okay settles down. And hold the reel like. This the rod like this okay. That reel is really comfortable okay your thumb okay your thumb sits nicely. It doesn't get that feel of. That knob knurl so and then similarly for sensitivity. You can feel the rod itself okay so. When you're trying to feel. That fish in that with. That lure especially. You can honestly feel. Any type of nibbles. Or bites any action that's happening on your lure. You have a jerk or a swimming type of bait. You can definitely feel.
That bait move but I paired. It with a Mela a casting Mela mm okay. And again I am a proponent of a bait feeder reel but. This Mela mm was appropriate for this rod the color matches really nicely the mellow mm comes with a spare spool okay. And the spare spool is a graphite spool. And it's much lighter as well, so I've installed a 6-pound line on. Iwant to go out there. And actually do some lure fishing and be casting all day. You want to be as light as possible there's a beautiful weight on. You know it's a six-foot rod but. It has a nice balance feel to. This mela mm actually keeps. It very well I have a 1/2 ounce weight on the end so otherwise it's its really balanced.
You feel you would like to try a different type of rod. This is probably a good recommendation for you so give it a try sometime as always come fish with.

The TLX family of fly rods has been a flagship for G limits for many years it's. We introduced a lot of new things including a very high performance carbon fiber. And also a new resin system. That helped us to develop very strong. And very lightweight rods. We come to the trout fishing family. We have three distinct actions available. One of them called the whisper Creek is a very smooth. And very easy to load casting rod for shorter. And mid distance type applications. These are the little two threes. And four weight rods. You would really appreciate using with very light leaders. And very small flies. Another series of GLX is called the stream dance. This is sort of the all-purpose action a little bit faster action medium stiff. You wanted a rod that generates. More line speed and a little bit added distance. Something you could. Even use with indicators. You wanted to for the universal rod. This is the way to go stream dance. You know you're really gunning for a longer cast. Or really casting big flies. You want line speed GLX max. This is our stiffest. And fastest action rod in trout fishing stream dance. And the whisper Creek have a really beautiful handle. And reel seat configuration.

I'm Bass master Elite Series Pro defo. Iwant to introduce to. You the new Fenwick Elite tech base series. These rods are designed with bass fishing in mind certain techniques in mind. Iwas really proud to be involved in the design of these rods particularly picking out the actions. And the lengths I wanted for certain techniques. You know for crank baits for different things. Iwas able to pick out. How long I wanted the rod. How long I wanted to handle. All those kind of things. You know to get them exactly the way. Iwanted some of the really neat features about. These rods is this hidden reel seat with a tack grip inlay the weight of. This type material gets the sticker. It is it's not that way on. Most rods but that hidden reel seat. That covers up all the threads. You never have to fill. This thing is just extremely comfortable. And then the high modulus graphite. This stuff's extremely lightweight very sensitive. And after that the titanium guides again it's about weighted reduction. And sensitivity taking weight out of the rod makes. More sensitive rod next time. You go to the store be sure to check out the filmic elite tech base series.

I'm out here at the lake today with tackle warehouse talking about new geo X rods within new GLX there is also a subcategory of GL x spinning JWR rods for those of. That do not fish spinning very much realize. What there is a lot of people fishing spinning applications for fish in a jig. Or fishing worms still. These days for those of. That do fish spinning oh yeah of course. You know but put a lot of the guys. That fish casting only there is nine brand-new GLX spinning JWR rods there's 12 total spinning rods within GL x. However three of them are the shaky head rods but the Jewry rods are very similar actions they're actually the same actions. That you're gonna find in the casting rods but in the spinning configuration so within the spinning configuration JWR rods. They contain the same brand-new patent-pending spinning handle. We built on gol X which depending on the reel.
You put into it will depend on the gap here in. It totally seamless in your hand. You cannot feel it's there slides from the rear upward. It allows a very strong very good gripping surface so. You don't get that tiredness in your hands from fishing with. This new spinning reel seat. We make almost everything you could want in. This spinning application. Everything from. This rod which is a six-foot medium 722 the action is very fast as. You can see this rod is very useful for a lot of different things. Even hesitate to give an application. Because people use it for so. Many things for me it's its it's a really good rod for fish in close quarters so. If I'm in a very tight cut. Or very tight creek mouth. Something like I can't really wield a seven-foot five casting rods but. Iwant to skip a fluke back there. Or pitch a stump in the middle of. Ican get to it skip cast to.
You know I can do I have a lot of mobility. And until with a short rod like. This within the line. You know this is just the. Ipicked up everything from six foot. All the way up to you know seven foot three in. This line of spinning rods. Everything you can want to do like. Isaid with within a jig. And warm rod action so. Anything you have that requires a X. Or fast action is built within. These twelve spinning rods including the SWI rods so. These rods are out they are available. Now no matter what you are doing with an extra fast jig. And worm rod there's. Something for you in GL X. These are all available at tackle warehouse.
Hey you tubers thank. You for taking in too crazy for Lula's today it's been ages since I've done. Any reviews made any videos for you guys so it's been about two months. It feels like a long time. And I'm glad to get back to. It so it feels pretty good to get back into doing a review for years. And you know this particular review is on my absolute favorite rod. That I own that I've actually ever used so. You know remember when. Ifirst purchased this rod. Igot it for an absolutely fantastic price a friend of mine down at a fishing store actually recommended. This rod to me I was actually going in to buy a. Ithink it was Eva st Croix rod. Or it was Eva wanted. Iwas interline rods. Where the line itself travels through the middle of the blank. And yeah you know he didn't have those particular ones there. And he said you know. What you just got to try out. This particular rod. Because it's its by far. One of the better ones after fishing with. It for the last about say two years. Ican honestly say that. This is by far the most sensitive rod I've ever used it's. One of the strongest rods I've ever used as well. And it's also incredibly like. Ithink they're three of the characteristics. That you'd been looking for when. You do make purchase. And you know decide. Whether to open up your wallet.
And go with that particular rod. You know it's always scary. When you walk into a fishing store. And you want to invest into a fishing rod. That you know cost of cost a bit. Now it is a really worthwhile to spend. That extra bit of money to be able to get. That performance and an action. And feel from the rod. Because you know obviously. When you're out there spending. That much time on the water. You want to be enjoying what you're doing and enjoying you know pulling in those fish. Or even just working laws. While you're out there so yeah. It was a scary thing but at the end of. It I'm real pleased. That I did make the decision. And said yes to him. He gave me a fantastic price. And I do not regret. It at all so first of. All let's start off by letting you know. That it has one I cast 2010 10 Awards for the best of show for the best freshwater rod category okay.
Now the most important thing about a fishing rod is by far not. Even close the construction of the blank. And and what they put into. That blank so not only the materials are the resin. That they use the graphite / carbon. That they use it's also got to do with the process in the curing and. And how they cook. That product in the oven. How the whole process to give. You the end result which is the blank itself so guys were in terms of the blank. If for anyone who doesn't know pretty much the blank is the section the tubular section of the fishing rod without. Any other components on. It so I'm talking about. This section here okay the stick itself okay. This tubular section. That slowly gets thin without the guides okay so that's just a blank here without. Any of these things here on. It and without the reel see the handle there. And without yet these sections here the cork. That you see there pretty much.
Now it's one of those components of the rod. That unfortunately if a company did want to skimp on the quality of. It you know aesthetically. You cannot tell you know just by looking at. It you can't tell whatsoever. How strong the rod is. How sensitive it is as well. You know how well. It feels you know that. When you use. It and fish it as well okay but after extensive use with. It like I said I've owned. It for about two years. And I use it actually very often. And it's my absolute go to spinning rod okay. This particular model here is its the baby in the range of the nrx spinning series it's called the it's a six-foot eight medium okay the model is called 8 0 2 s JW r which is the jigging worm edition alright so.
When you're using jigs. And worms its very much it's obviously a lot. More finesse than say crank bathing dirt bathing and also things like. You know it's definitely. More finesse than say for example a classification of an umbrella rig rod as well so. It is the baby it is the lightest version. When I say light I don't just mean physically light I'm talking about. How much strain and weight. It can take and its line rating as well so let's go into the technical side of. It and let's have a chat about the numbers. All right so the taper itself it's an extra fast taper. What taper means is. If I go is I zoom out for you here. And we look all the way at the front at the tip of the rod extra fast means. That as the rod itself is under load. Or fishes on it taper. Or action means how far up the tip the rod wants to bend the. Most so if you've got a very fast action. What that means is. That it's incredibly a springy. And pliable and bendy at the tip.
All right guys if you've got a slow action. Or moderate action it ultimately means. That about in the middle of the rod so from. This section to the tip about in the middle of. It is where it wants to do its bending as opposed to wanting to bend. More so at the tip alright so extra bias is pretty much means very bendy at the tip okay that's. Where the blank itself wants to primarily will Bend. All right its line weight rating is six to ten pounds meaning. That you know these rod companies give. You a rating where if. You would put on a certain line. You know how much weight. It can actually take so. If they recommend about six to ten pounds worth of line okay something's going to give guys so it's. Even going to be the line breaks. You hook get straightened out. Or you know you're not fallen out. If you have inside them properly. Or the worst-case situation is. That your rod snaps okay so.
If by chance you put on heavier line what's going to happen is. That the line is stronger. Then what the rod can take as. It bends and the rod itself is going to snap. Now I actually use around about thirty pound line on. This now the style of fishing. That III do I have to put on a very thick line okay but it's just a testament to the fact. That this particular rod can handle weights. And and the pressure of a really heavy fish at the end. And at the end of the line as well it's never failed. I and it's got a really strong backbone as well so. This bottom tip here of the blank it's incredibly strong okay so. You get a very fast tip very bendy tip so it's very sensitive down. That end and then you get an incredibly strong mid to rear to mid section here as well okay so giving you. That power to then the leverage to be able to really pull in.
That particular fish. That you're trying to fight with alright so the law wait so the recommend lower weight is a. One eighths of an ounce to a quarter of an ounce guys are on. You know weights around about. That night I certainly throw heavier weights in. That as well in the rod can take. It in terms of the guide system itself okay the guide system is there're eight guides. And then plus one tip so nine into. This particular color is considered the blue. They have a green color. Where the whole blank itself okay is completely. This sort of it's a green color. This color blue it's a natural color of the blank with. These are blue bits here with those blue accents.
All right all the way for. Each guide alright next step would be the handle length itself is 14 inches okay 14 inches long for this particular model alright so going back to the blank. Now the blank where it's really special. And why I feel it's by far the best blank. And the best fishing rod I've ever owned. And used actually is the fact. That G Looms the nrx series is there a premiere range of fishing rods they've put in absolutely. All of the technology. And knowledge that. They have throughout their the whole history of the company. And they've been able to work out. What goes right and. What goes wrong and they're put in. All the best things. That they could into. This particular rod with. This blank itself it's incredible. It featured incredibly expensive. And a high modulus graphite okay so high modulus carbon okay so very strong carbon along with. Most importantly 3m matrix resin so.
What the resin is in the blank there scan there's ultimately two major parts of a blank it's the material side. And then it's the glue side so the resin is the glue. That melts and sticks. And bonds those fibers together creating the blank itself okay, so they've actually. You know three as a company. That makes adhesives. And different sort of epoxies. And resins and then. And those sort of materials, so they've employed 3m to come on board. And supply them the resin for this particular blank. Now other companies do use. This 3m matrix resin as well. It is a very expensive resin so yeah but gee Looms have perfected. It with this particular blank in my view it's by far the best blank on the market actually okay next step would be moving into we'll start from the bottom in. And we'll go up okay, so we've actually we'll start with the okay we'll start with the bottom so at the bottom here we've got the grip so here's going to be your real seat here.
And then along here is going to be your grip so it's a split grip meaning. That the blank is exposed here. You then get a at the bottom here. Where your the butt of the grip would be is a composite cork here. And then moving on to a very premium cork. That they use for the rest of the rest of the handle there moving on to. That composite again split grip composite. And then moving on to. That cork that I was speaking of before okay. Now the real seat itself here it's quite a cool design. Ireally like it I was a bit at first. When I saw I was like. Idon't know how well it's going to work the feet of your real so your spin real is here the feet come up. And then go into these sections here. And then you just tighten. It on like so it's quite a flat sort of design with a hump there. That pretty many hugs the feet of your real. Ithink you know a lot of like real seats. Now they design them with a skeleton design which means a gap here. And the only thing that's really transmitting the vibrations up the rod is really.
That section here that like those bits of the real seat on there on to the real feet out feet. And then into your real so you're feeling it here okay but with. This section here the real feet is completely set on. That completely all the way pretty much so against. That cork they're giving you. Ifeel more better sensitivity so. If I just unscrew that's. What it would look like for you. All right and then putting. That back on lining. That up there and that's. How you'd apply your real. All right very comfortable to hold as. You using it there soon. All right so you're going to get a tie there on. That side so as you're you're holding the rod like. This it's going to be located on the left-hand side moving on here you're going to get those blue accents there.
Where it's quite different with. This particular rod. You know most rod companies are going to put their logo. And the information on top there it's actually on. If you're holding it here it's actually on the right-hand side looking at. It like so you've got your G looms logo there that's their new sick fish logo by to zoom into. This section here hopefully. That focus is for you nrx 8 0 to s jig. And worm 6 foot 8 extra fast action medium power alright. And those things that I've talked about before those ratings there with the line are the line there. And the low rating they're nrx written there alright lastly medium power. What that means is as you're pulling it. How much resistance the total blank has so the rod itself. How much it wants to bend okay so a soft power. Or a light power meaning. That all been heats easily medium obviously medium.
And heavy or extra heavy means as you're pulling it's going to be harder for the rod to bend okay the action. Once again extra fast has got to do with not. How hard it is to bend the rod but. Where abouts in the blank the rod primarily wants to bend which extra fast means. Once again guys just recapping it's going to be at the tip. That it wants to primarily Bend. All right so nearly done. Iwanted to be obviously vary in depth with. This review guys so yeah we're going to go through. Everything today the guides itself. This is where it gets a bit special for this particular rod the guide system itself okay features a hybrid system meaning.
That they have a Fugees titanium si guides so titanium frame around there. And that black ring inside is a silicon carbide ceramic bit there silicon carbide is pretty much the industry-leading standard for about last 10 years. Or so it's pretty much. What most premium rods feature well their guide system features anyways it's. One of those materials. That are incredibly hard you've got to be a bit careful. If you do throw your rod down on a hard surface you've got a chance of being able to crack. That particular ring inside there. Because it is such a hard material as well. And you'll generally find. That once you crack. It your line or braid is going to be tearing against. That and you'll be losing fishing that's. One of the reasons why ok. You can put in like a cotton buds into there I'll run them around there.
And they should hook up in. Any cracks there guys so that's its a good way to be able to identify. If you do have any sort of cracks within your guide system then. All right so like I said hybrid guide system. What that means is. That the first is going to be titanium si silicon carbide second one's going to be the same thing titanium sick third one's going to be titanium sick. And then the next five are going to be which. Idon't have on here but I'll get into. That in just a second it's going to be let's have a look here sorry just give. Me a moment it's going to feature a jealous recoil guide. All right guys I'm not a fan of recoil guides I've used them for a year.
And a half and I ended up replacing them with titanium si guides. And I'll go into why all right so. Iabsolutely love the rod. And but I overtime. Iactually got these replaced with like. Isaid titanium silicon carbide. Now what recoil guides are. They are the brand of. It is our EC recoil black ion coded nickel titanium guides so recoil meaning. That it's like a little a string of off of. That material that. Ijust mentioned and. It folds like that creating a little hole like a guide system there okay. Now these recoil guides. If you were to bend. It and then flip it. And let it go it would pop back into its original position okay bend. It enough guys over time they're going to snap okay. Now the reason why they use. One two three four and five recoil guides okay the last. One is still a titanium si tip alright guys so yeah it's only five recoil guides but the reason why they use.
That guys is it's incredibly light but. Anything that bends okay is susceptible to less vibration transmitting through. This particular blank that's my viewpoint on. It if it's able to bend there's less chance of. That being obviously incredibly hard. And being able to transfer. Any vibrations from the line up into the blank okay from the line to the guide up into the blank down. All the way to your hands. That you're feeling with okay but so the reason why I changed them over is. Because I won they're incredibly noisy. And — I broke one of them after. Iwent like that and then let go. It just went snap so then. Ichanged one of them. And then after a while. Ithink I broke another. One and I'm really careful with. All my products guys.
And it's one of those things. That I was quite disappointed. And I really wanted to give. These these titanium recoil sorry yeah titanium nickel titanium recoil guides a go but unfortunately. Ifished them for a year. And a half and I ended up having to change them. Or two to this system here so on my particular rod I've customized. It and I turned them. All to titanium Si guides alright so just to end the review. Iknow it's been a long review. And I really appreciate. You guys sticking around to hear. It all but if you guys are wondering whether. Or not to make you know plunging and then. And go ahead with buying excuse. Me buying one of these rods do. It because like I said I've fished a lot of fishing rods. Some really premium ones okay a lot of them really premium ones but.
Nothing as close as. This is to end the review the best fishing rod. Ihave ever even had the privilege of using alright guys alright, so I'll leave. You to it if you have. Any comments please let. Me know below if you liked the video give. Me a thumbs up and subscribe to the channel as well. Iknow it's been a really long review but I'd get. It for you know in a situation. Where you really need to get in depth with. This particular rod. And have a closer look at. All components as well guys I'll catch is around next time stay tuned for more reviews I'll be doing a whole heap in the next month. Or so all right so yeah I'll leave. You thought happy kitchen go see is bye.

Hi my name's Andrew wheeler I'm the product manager for Abu Garcia I'd like to introduce the villain 20 series of rods the villain 20 features our 40 ton graphite material. This material is a highest modulus right in the V range. And is extremely lightweight. And very sensitive you'll notice also on the villain 20 Alvey wrap design. This V wrap design is a carbon cross wrap. That runs from the butt of the rod. All the way up to the tip of the rod. This improves the strength of the rod. And also improves the sensitivity of the rod. We use Fuji real seats on. Both our spinning in the casting models. These are a great real seat to hold your reels on very securely the guide system on the rods are micro guide systems. Both on the spinning and the casting models. We use titanium frame guides with zirconium inserts they're extremely lightweight guides trained on the rods so won't inhibit the action the rods. And there's a canny mentor is perfect for whether using braid fluorocarbon. Or mono filament lines the film 20 s are available in eight casting and eight spinning models so.
