putting the left. Yet hit him go ahead oh. You just do it just do. It just do it there yes Wow hi Mike right 10 brand managers here to tell. You about two new models coming out in the slammer series so the slammer 3. We launched last year. This year we’re adding to high speed so. We ride the 8500 and a 6500 so high speed. You can see the red trim on the rails to separate them from the regular Slammers the 6500 picks up 48 inches of line per crank the 8500 picks up 50 inches winder crank the 6500 gets 40 pounds of drag 8500 gives 50 pounds of drag buddy so a lot of drag a lot of line pickup. And the cool thing about. These drills they come standard with two hand alarm options so you’ve got your call. It your regular everyday lure cast. And live bait fishing type of reel handled up. And then you’ve got your specific jig knob so. This handle knob is the machined aluminum knob like. You see on the regular Slammers except. That it’s filled with weight so it’s very heavy so.

When you’re jigging all day. You can get the momentum going with the jig handle knob. It just saves a lot of energy let. All day let you keep the jig moving this is. Something that we’ve never done on pin in fact. We really haven’t seen. It in the market period so specific jig knob. These handle arms fit. Both reels tell what just happened they’re running on the beach. We look up we see a spool of Kobe right. We use up till we make a long cast. It has a high speed slamming through. Iwas able to crank back. And fish very quickly the fisherman’s did a 180 ate the bait. And took off run it’s amazing this thing’s a team just do. It yes big all 40 pound could be look at the fat head on.

That rascal these will be available fall 2017 check them out see local retailer.

I’m John Skinner this supports Chapter two pursuit. You can learn more about the book at striper pursuit calm. Iwanted to give my first impressions of the new Penn slammer 3 reels. That will come out in the fall of 2016. One of the most visually striking parts of the reel is. That big handle and that’s very comfortable I’ll get into the features as. We go along here alright as a surf caster. One of my main concerns is. How well will water stay out of. This reel and you’re going to see. Me basically screw up here I’m fishing on a rock the waters up higher. It is usually when I’m fishing it. And I’m it’s got a slight incline forward. And I’m just going to mess up. This fish and right here. It takes that. One push forward I went off the front of the rock. Iam standing but I’m deep. And obviously the reel is submerged. This is not what you’re supposed to do with. This reel Penn says. This thing is going to take waves it’s going to take spray it’s going to take brief dunkings you’re not supposed to fish like. This with these things happen. Iwas pretty interested to see. How the reel was going to survive. This stuffing now I am able to pretty quickly. You know recover my crown here. And backtrack this fish it’s not. Even big it’s just the way. You know I just slipped up. Iwent in and the real went in so. Iget the real home. You know I sprayed. It down right away and later on. That day I opened I couldn’t see. Any water in I saw was grease so as best.

Ican tell it survived. That accidental dunking pretty well. This was shot actually about 12 days later. All was well reeled was fine so that’s supposed to be. One of the key features of the reel is. How well waterproofed. Another feature is it has a fully machined brass gear system. This thing is very smooth. If you’ve ever used a pen clash very similar in terms of how smooth. It is so to me the real is kind of like a waterproof version of the clash. It does have that great handle on. It first thing I did. Isaw arrow after that handle a bit. And liked and tried to see. It would fit a pen ssv real but. It didn’t fit which was unfortunate. Because well I could have. That handle on every real pen is upgraded the drag washers in. This reel it’s what they call their during washers from the regular HT 100’s. And from poking around online.

Isee the dirt rags are. What are used in their internationals which are their offshore conventional reels so. Ican just tell that the drag is super smooth it’s certainly waterproof. Because it’s survived. That dunking quite nicely so yep quite an excellent drag in the reel so those are the three main things. That ten emphasizes about the reel the machined brass gears. How well waterproof the reel is. And the drag system so far. Idon’t see any indication. That they’re going to offer a bailiffs model. Ihave to say I’ve used. This reel for about a month to five weeks. And the bail really hasn’t been an issue.

Ithink bales these days are not like. They were in the old day so. This one’s pretty good, so I’m posting this a couple months prior to. When the reel is going to become available. Idid notice on J and H tackles website. They have the reel available for pre-order the. One I’m using in this video is a 6500 slammer 3. It retails for 290 dollars. Ithink that’s extremely reasonable for all the features. You get in this okay. You found this informative. You enjoy these videos please subscribe to my channel.

Hey it’s Josh over J. And H today we’re taking a look at the Penn slammer 370 500 spinning reels. And decided to bring the slammer back in a totally new body totally new form. You know the slammer name is still very strong. Even though it’s uh been discontinued for a couple years. Now but Penn decided to take. This new real sort of upgrade from the clash. And give it the slammer name so it’s its a step in the right direction for Penn it’s its a higher-end reel with. More features, and they’re sort of getting into nicer. And nicer spinning roles which is good to see. Imean The Clash is really nice. This is one above I mean so. That an all-metal body all-metal rotor all-metal spool. Everything is sealed just like a spin Fisher would be. They call it IP x6 which is basically. You know a waterproof rating on a electronics. That they’re now applying to fishing reels but basically it’s got the same sealed capacity as the spin Fisher does so it’s not advanced. All it’s not a torque. Where you can actually submerge. This reel and fish with. It underwater but if. You take wave or if you’re on a boat it’s getting heavy splash it’s its not a problem. This thing will just keep on going the main differences between. This and the clash we’re the improvements are going to be. That this reel has. All brass gear so the main the oscillation. And the pinion gears are. All brass but still using.

That CNC gearing technology, so they’re still using a machine to hand cut. Each one of these as opposed to forging or pressing out gear so. You get a more you know smoother reel with. More power and more precision. When you turn the handle. Imean this thing feels. More like a Shimano twin power. Than it does a pen rail. Imean still has that. You know workhorse type of pen feel to. It in every manufacturer feels a little bit different. You turn the handle but it’s considerably smoother. Than anything Penn’s ever come out with. It has that more of a stiff feeling to. It you know more rigid feel so. When you turn the handle it’s very it’s very precise it’s its very interesting and sort of unexpected from pen but definitely welcome the direct system in. This is pens direct system tracks. You one step up from their HT 100 drag system. And it produces just crazy amount of drag so you’re looking at. You know 50 pounds of drag out of.

This pen it’s just insane. What technologically. These companies can do. Now it’s going to hold 400 yards of 65 pound test braid weighs in at 29 point two ounces like. Isaid everything is sealed to your waterproof track system on their Bale trip is automatic. And it’s just a really cool real fan pen. You can see the nice big one-piece aluminum handle. They actually give you in the box. They give you an Levee a knob too so. If you don’t like the aluminum knob. You can actually swap. It out in a couple of seconds for an Levee a. You know I’m a big fan of the EBA it’s nice and comfortable but. Ialso like the aluminum so.

Either way but it’s a good option from pen for point 7 to 1 gear ratio. And 7 sealed stainless steel ball bearings in. This reel retail in. This is going to be just under $320. And I’m just impressed with the Pens doing you know. They keep just stepping it up. And technology is getting better the reels are getting better. And this is going to be a great. You know offshore slash. If you know is you want to do surf fishing you can do. It with this real -. Although it’s a little big I’ll let guys to go a little bit smaller. You know with braided lines but. If you’re fishing offshore near shore. That kind of stuff and. You want a you know a really nice real without going crazy money. This is definitely a great option so check. It put it’s the pen slammer 3 7500 spinning reels. And you can get yours at JH com.

Hey it’s Josh over J. And H today we’re taking a look at the Penn slammer 3 SLA III 5500 spinning reel. This is brand-new from Penn. They decided to bring back. This glamour series. And they’ve revamped. You know anything about Penn reels. Or pen spinning reels recently sort of the R is been very similar in terms of the style. And design you know. All metal bodies they sort of just gone up in price got a little bit lighter got a little bit. More powerful that trend kind of continues with. This reel the new slammer is. All metal construction it’s. All aluminum body rotor. And spool as you can see so super adorable keeps the gears align really well. You know aluminum does a good job of. Everything in here the gearing is. All CNC cut like it is in the clash so. More precision it gets a lot smoother. That kind of thing but the difference is. All the gears are brass so. You got a brass main gear pinion gear in Oscillation gear so. You have tremendous amount of strength. And like I said the gearing is very smooth. Isort of equate this to Penn’s version of like a Shimano twin power. Imean it’s not it’s not. That sexy of a real. Or it’s not that smooth of real but it’s pretty close especially for a pen. You know which is more of a workhorse type of reel. You turn Amal on the thing it feels a lot different stiffer. More fluid than other pen reels. This is the 5500 size you’re looking at holding about 380 yards a 30 pound test braid it’s got a 5 point 6 to 1 gear ratio weighs in at 22 point 4 ounces tremendous amount of power it’s got pens door rack system in there.

This is the first spinning reel. That has that so it’s putting out the 40 pounds max drag which is just insane on a spinning reel fully sealed just like a spin Fisher would be. You know it’s got seals everywhere the only thing that’s not sealed. This is right in here. You know sort of like a van installer. Or the new pen torque would be so. This is perfect for a surf fishing boat fishing getting sprayed getting wet getting hit by a wave but you’re not going to you’re not going to turn the handle. And fish this reel underwater you’re not going to submerge. That kind of thing but still just a really high level of protection of seals seven seals stainless steel ball-bearing so again corrosion resistance on. This reel is not going to be a problem. You just gotta keep. It cleans it will take care of itself down system automatic trip it’s just a really nice reel from pen check out.

This handle it’s all aluminum handle. This actually comes. This is aluminum but in the box you’re going to get an Evie a nob as well so. You want to swap and I’m a big fan of uv8. You watch any of the videos. You know that but aluminum is nice — really comfortable. They give some options so the retail. This is going to be 200. And just about 270 dollars. And it’s just a nice step up for pen. You know better reel. More high-quality reel without going crazy money it’s just a great revamp so. If you’re looking for a new spinning reel in the 5500 size. This is definitely a great option so check. It put it’s the pen slammer 3 5500 spinning reel get yours at JH com.

Hey it’s Josh over at J. And H we’re taking a look at the Shimano Dakota Tek 500 level. One reel one of the. Most popular reels we sell in the store great for blue fish. And striped bass excellent bottom fishing reel it’s its. Most known for the level whine system holds up really well. We sold thousands of these over the past. Several years and people keep coming back to get. More of them you know it’s still an extremely popular reel it’s got an all-aluminum body aluminum side plate it’s nice and light weighs in at only fifteen point three ounces so. You can fish with you won’t get tired it’s got a really nice oversized handle. You can see they Shimano molded. This handle you can see the grooves in. And the cuts in it really feels really nice. You turn it won’t kid. It gets wet or covered in bait. You know any of the Berkley Gulp stuff gets on. Or won’t get it won’t get slippery. It definitely sticks to your hand. You won’t release it’s got the nice oversized clutch on. You know the integral star direct system. Or notch system which is really nice.

Ijust a great overall reel like. Isaid great for bottom fishing great for trolling for small stuff control the fresh water with. It’s gonna hold you know 300 yards. Or thirty or forty pound power Pro in mono that’s about. You know 325 yards a 15 pound test. Than enough line like. Isaid far before ball bearings make. It nice and smooth and it’s got a four point two to. One gear ratio so if you’re looking for a really nice level. One reel that puts out a lot of drag. One puts out 18 pounds of drag definitely take a look at the Shimano Takota Tek 500 level. One rail and it’s available at JH com.

Hey it’s Josh over 2gh today we’re taking a look at the Shimano to co2 700 level line reels. This is actually a really large level. One reel from Shimano. They take the Dakota series. You know made it larger so. Most of the guys we do business with. These posts are using this reel for bass. And bluefish turns over then get in the 600 to 700 is. Where the size jump happens so. You can see this is significantly larger. Than the 600 you haven’t seen the 600 then check out our other videos up on youtube. Or on the site the features of the Dakota are the. All aluminum body aluminum side plate again the oversized level whine system. That holds up really well over time as long as. You take care of anything else. You can say that about the knotch star drag system. And of course the very comfortable oversized handle on which is really great to use the fish is real before. And it’s great it’s great for trolling or bottom fishing it holds a ton of line over 500 yards a 65 pound braid.

You want to do mono you’re looking at 350 a 30 like. Isaid for ball bearings 42 to 1 gear ratio. It weighs in at 28 point 8 ounces so for this size reel it’s not too heavy it’s not like. One of the old all-metal reels that’s super heavy. You can’t fish you want to take. This out you want to go up. And go cod fishing with. You could totally do. It not a problem it could definitely handle. It a ton of drag you know 24 pounds of drag so. If you’re looking for a nice level. One reel on this size definitely take a look at the Shimano Dakota Tek 700. And it’s available at JH com.

G’day guys Ben from fishing tackle shop comm did. You here with Chris cleaver at the Shimano stand at 2018 after-show. Now we’ve got an old favorite that’s had a bit of a face lift. This year yeah this is the new Dakota in five. And six hundred sighs. One thing you’ll notice probably straightaway it’s quite compact yep the twenty percent smaller. Than the older another big thing is the gearing is fifty percent stronger. Then the last we had as well so it’ll handle up to probably quite decent kingi’s. And tuner and things like. Now as opposed to before but also two other big features. That are in this reel. That won’t in the old. One is the Hagane body, so we’ve got the metal body the metal real foot so it’s super strong super rigid on the rod. You don’t get any torque. Or twist and then also saltwater is. One of the biggest killers of a real as. This has got core protect so it’s got a seal in above the roller clutch a seal in the clutch lever as well. Another seal can be on the spool so keeps nasty water out keeps your bearings good new gears good. And then you got across carbon drive so. She packs a lot of punch for a little real. Now yeah you know I say is there a sacrifice on line capacity. More just targeted to the braid angler what’s a go there lawn capacity is the same as the old. One yeah though the real small daddy bear deeper so the biggest ball the body’s. More compact but uh yeah. It is definitely more suited to the braid market. Now as opposed to before. When the original took o to come out is probably for the. More of the mono market also the level line before in a big fishery Kirsten goes with the spool so.

You don’t have a problem with. That braid cutting into the level wines. If it’s on one side. And there’re lines on the other side so yeah letting look fatigued. You know it’s gonna go quite well with. Some new modern rods. That are available in their minor range obviously as well yeah pretty much a real looking do. Anything now yeah fantastic. All right thanks Chris. You can check him out at fishing tackle shop calm a you.
